Get Digital 2015

Get Digital took place in The Helix in DCU in Dublin on March 14th 2015. This was the final mini conference of the year. In attendance were DCU’s first year DICE students and several other business men and women.

Speaker 1 – Mary Maloney

The first speaker of this short conference was Mary Maloney who is the Global CEO for a company called CoderDojo.

Speaker 2 – Richard Garsthagen

The second speaker of the afternoon was Richard Garsthagen, the EMEA Director for Cloud Business Development at Oracle.

Speaker 3 – John Massey

The next speaker up on stage was John Massey. John is the EMEA business development lead at SAP Ireland.

Get Started 2015

Speaker 1 – Niamh Bushnell

The first speaker on stage at the Get Started conference 2015 was Niamh Bushnell. Niamh is the Dublin Commissioner for Startups.

Speaker 2 – David McKernan

David McKernan is the founder of the coffee company Java Republic which was founded in 1998.

Innovation Panel

Up next, we had the Innovation Panel. I was a little confused as to what this was due to the fact that we haven’t had any of these at any of our previous conferences.

Speaker 3 – Kealan Lennon

The third speaker of the afternoon was Kealan Lennon, the CEO and founder of Cleverbug.

Speaker 4 – Seán Ahern

Following Kealan Lennon was the CEO and founder of ThankFrank, Seán Ahern. ThankFrank was started up in 2012. It is a browser extension and app that allows you to put a ‘thanks’ button on any web page.
