Get Social took place in The Helix at DCU, Dublin on the 14th of October 2014. It is the first of four mini conferences that will take place over the coming academic year. In attendance were DCU’s first year DICE students and several other business men and women.
The conference consisted of seven speakers, each representing different companies based around social media. The speakers spoke about social media, the role of their company and the importance of social media to businesses.
These speakers included Dr. Theo Lynn (DCU), Dr. Deirdre Hogan (Gajo), Jane McDaid (Thinkhouse), Lucy Campbell (RTÉ), Alan Coleman (Wolfgang Digital), Nicolas Cappiello (LinkedIn) and Eric Weaver (IPG Mediabrands Worldwide).
Overall, despite the fact that it was four hours long, I really enjoyed the conference as I learned so much more about social media and marketing in businesses which i will share with you in the next few posts. Enjoy!
